Ryan, I hope you have seen more members are willing to wait! I know myself I always look forward to the next image, but considering the vast amounts of money the fee is to be here In the end, your artwork is worth the wait. Thank you for sharing with us your immense talent. -Nathan |

Great Art! It's amazing to see your customer base support you in such a positive light. For years I have known about your site and always popped in for the freebies. I bought a 3 month membership and I just extended another year. Next time it's a lifetime! DigitalBlasphemy has become synonymous with quality CG Art. Myself and many people I know come here for artwork. I just want to say keep up the amazing work. I love the progression your work has made over the years! And don't worry about the delays. This is not an exact science. We will all wait patiently for the next masterpiece. Keep up the GREAT work!! |

I don't care how long it takes and you really don't need to apologize for it. Your artwork is worth the wait. It simply amazes me every time I see a new one. keep going, we will wait! |
| Gary |
Thanks for the update... I think that is the hardest thing about the process... we have to wait, but it's good to know what your doing and just to know what's going on. I love each and every new creation. It gives me a chance to search some of your older stuff and put that up on my desktop. |

Dont worry about it! The wait is always well worth it, and I for one just find the anticipation grows this way. I'm always more excited to see the finished product after hearing stories of your technical woes, because really, how AWESOME must that image be if its crashing your rendering software! Just let me live in my ignorance if skill and rendering errors have no causal relationship, because its what I choose to think :D |

Hey man there is no need to apologize here. You have been giving us some really good works lately and I understand that you are trying to make us happy. Some might be disappointed but you have done so much so far and I thank you for it. Keep up the good work and thanks again. |
| David |
Hey, no trouble, rather something nice that we wait for than a half job. :) Blessings, David |

As echoed by the others aready, you don't need to apologise for the "delay". If anything, I glad that you've got a very robust quality control system in place (i.e. YOU!). :-) Don't sweat over this, it takes as long as it take and we will always be here waiting for your next masterpiece. Szen (another Lifetime Member...) |

Hello! I am a new member only subscribing last night. I fell in love with your pictures long ago, and finally decided it was worth it to subscribe. Money 100% well spent. Now, even though I am new, I read your post, and I wanted to add that you should NEVER apologize or stress out over projects like this. You seem to have a very loyal following ( myself included) who would have no problem waiting as long as it requires for something new. If people have a problem with it leaving negative feedback, remember for the most part, most of the members here, from what I read, won't do that. You can't please everyone at the same time, so don't even try. Just do your best. Anyway, I just wanted to add that, and to say I am really glad to be a member of such an amazing site. I am going to go explore your images now^^ |
| Shane |
and don't push yourself too hard once it finally does render ! |
| Terry |
These things happen there is no timetable. T. |
| Simon |
I'm glad that you decided not to release the version that took so long to render. As a multiple monitor user, it would be a shame to miss out on the multiple monitor version because of rendering time (which I'm thinking will not be an issue now?) |
| Jason D. |
I truly enjoy ALL of your work! And the fact that you've got most of your new stuff rendered specifically for the iPhone is just plain neat! Thank you for everything and keep up the most excellent work! |
| Dave |
I've been there, sticking it out to the end just to find out that something went wrong. In times like that don't feel rushed, just focus on creating your work to the best of your ability and achieving the best quality possible. Nobody here wants to see a rushed piece, so please take your time and you will impress us all like always I'm sure =) |
| Dustin |
You do great work. Great work takes time sometimes; and it's obviously not something within your control. I still feel like I'm getting my money's worth with my subscription, as does most others, it seems; we're good to wait for you to do what you do best. =) Dustin |
| Ed Miller |
Hey Ryan don't sweat it; ther are no stopwatches going here. Take your time, and enjoy your work; the rest of us will enjoy it when your finished:) |

I am so sorry. That sounds extremely frustrating; my wife is an artist and when she works long and hard on something and in the end it doesn't turn out right, she embodies disappointment. So I have an inkling of what you are suffering. :) |
| Scott |
Ryan, You constantly apologize for things that are beyond your control. I think it's more entertaining than anything that you are suffering tech problems like EVERYONE else on the planet. I love the artwork as does everyone else on your site. When the new stuff comes out it comes out, I look forward to it when it does. I've been a Fan since 2000 and will remain one for much longer. Thanks for all your hard work! Scott |

Keep up the good fight, mate. We're not going anywhere. |
| Graham |
Don't feel like anyone is breathing down your neck - I don't really think anyone minds waiting! It will be done soon enough. |
| Sean W. |
If whatever you're doing is breaking the program you're using to do it with, it must be good! ;-D To echo past posts, don't worry about the wait. We're all big fans of your art, and are more than willing to wait an occasional week or two extra if you've got something grand planned, or if your programs give you grief. Have a good one, and good luck getting it to work! :) |
| Pops |
I myself have NEVER been disappointed....so be cool. I DO however, know ALL about the "I'm my own worst critic stuff".... |
| Alexander |
As everyone has said one way or another, your work is always worth the wait. With your attempt at using surface scattering, I would guess this is not a planetscape, but rather of something small. Whatever it is, it'll be great. To those that laugh at SETI@home distributed computing for rendering, check out BURP (Big and Ugly Rendering Project): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BURP. |
| Dave |
I just had to say that I laughed at the post earlier, saying you should make your project work with your customers unused computers, just like SETI@home. Anyways, it's no big deal, as always I'm looking forward to this new render. |
| Jay |
Any openings at your company? I'd love the hours! |
| Josh_D |
Why don't you just get two computers, so you can render on when you work on new images on another? |
| iMark |
I've noticed that the longer people wait, the most accepting to the artwork when it comes out. The simple fact it's taking a long time should mean that it's so complex it should be fantastic! Looking forward to it. |
| Robert |
Thank you Ryan for your update! This particular member of your Wonderful Website is more than happy to wait until you are happy with your work. I have never been disappointed with your work in the past 9 or 10 years and I can't see that happening in the future! You and work are both Wonderful! Keep on keeping On! Sincerely and Patiently Waiting, RobertL |
| James |
Actually, this isn't a bad idea - distributed computing can be very powerful. Maybe you should look into this, I would be willing to let you use my spare cycles if it meant a shorter wait! |
| Greg |
Got (digital) art on the brain, I suppose... |
| Les |
Hey Ryan, I love your work, no worries about the long wait man! |
| Greg |
Would be for the new render to be named something along the lines of "Artic Mystery" and be a completely white screen, LOL... Don't worry (too much) about the wait, Ryan, your work is always awesome, PERIOD, and no matter how long we have to wait between updates, we always seem to forget when a new image pops up. |
| Greg in KC |
Ryan, I think those of us that are members here appreciate your work so much that it is worth the wait. Keep up the good hard work, buddy, and don't let the gremlins get you down! We'll be here when you're done! Greg in KC |
| Steve |
Much like your rendering efforts :) We appreciate the work you do and there's no need to apologize in your updates. Your work is incredible.. it's a new genre of art that needs more appreciation than it gets. Steve |
| Chris |
Just kidding... all in a days work (or weeks as it were) |
| Liz |
I'm sure no one is half so anxious as I am, and I can continue to wait. :) It's appreciated that you care so much about providing quality and beauty to our little workspaces. Take care :) Liz |
| Graham |
I look forward to the announcement that you have found a way of using 1,000 of your subscribers unused computers to do your renders and they take an hour to come out :) Thanks for the update though |
| Will |
Don't worry about it. We'll wait. Your work is exemplary and everyone knows that computers can play games even when you don't want them to. Just keep plugging away and know that we'll love it! |
| Soulyouth |
I bet it will be worth the wait :D I'm hoping for a new planet scape as there my favorites. Quick question with the last few (except colorwheel) they seem grainy is it the new software your using or a intended effect to make it seem more like film ? As I love it. It reminds me of the photo's I take with my SLR. |
| Travis |
Ryan, Don't fret over the "long" wait for a new wallpaper. I agree with all of the previous posts that patience is a virtue and that it is worth the wait. The biggest "downfall" of having to wait for new renders is that we HAVE to enjoy your OLD posts...gosh! Thanks for keeping us posted on your progress, and keep up the great work! Looking forward to your new render! |
| TheBugKing |
Heck Ryan, You keep us updated on what is going on. That is a lot more then most people do. There are quite a few places where there is no commentary from the artist. You get stuff when they get it to you. If you don't like it then tough. Thanks for keeping us updated. It is appreciated. |

While my heart laments the lack of a new render (although I am still pulling for a multi-monitor version of "The Astronomer"). I too will concede that "Good things come to those who wait" . . . although it has been so long that I feel like a kid at Christmas wondering what the new post will be! The anticipation is killing me!! :-) |
| Gabriel |
I'm a fan of sayings like: "Good things come to those who wait." and "You can't rush great art." ;) Then there are the big hitters: Genius is one per cent inspiration, ninety-nine per cent perspiration. - Thomas A. Edison, Harper's Monthly, 1932 and "If it were easy, it would have no value." - Bill Toomey ;) |
| Pat |
Despite what a lot of people on this site might have you believe, this is not a big deal. This stuff happens, I guess. Don't sweat it dude, I'm sure everyone will understand. |
| Kyle C |
Hey Ryan Thanks for the update. I think we can all sense your frustration and understand that it's not your fault. I also trust your opinion in when you say its not fit for upload then it's obviously not fit. Lets keep our fingers crossed for the next 2/3 days eh! Damn bugs! |
| Sara |
Ryan, glitches happen. It's crashes like this that make me believe in electronic gremlins. Anticipation is a good thing. |
| David |
Hey, random stuff happens like this sometimes, np Ryan! And, I would say "Well then this one better be good!" but I think we all already know that that's gonna be the case anyway! :) Good luck with that new render, I hope it makes it the 2-3 days w/o crashing! |
