My next still will be posted before the next animation. I decided to pause the animation render this weekend and work on a new "static" wallpaper. However, I don't think that working on animations is in anyway neglecting Mac users. They may not be able to use animated wallpapers now, but who's to say that that feature won't be added to some future version of the Mac OS? When that happens I hope to have a good collection of animations waiting for you. |

The best animated Wallpapers are the subtle ones! As an example.. a animated version of Summerwood would be 100% pure awesomeness. Just some moving fireflies. Thats all what is needed to make a great animated wallpaper. It would feel real and magic. (I did something like that with Linux and Compiz Fusions firefly addon - it looks great!) |

Hey Ryan, I applaud your willingness to try something new and produce dreamscenes but please keep in mind that, unless I'm mistaken, there is no dream scene for Mac users and therefore I will look forward to your next still image much more. Wouldn't want to cut Macs out of the fold, right? |

Its really too bad that I don't have Dreamscene. I would love to have animated versions of your wallpapers. |

I was thinking about a screensaver using the same video plus a wallpaper of the same scence. That would look really neat. |

I'm hoping this one has a more subtle effect. I agree that too much animation can be annoying. |

I tested one of your Dreamscenes. While I found it beautiful, I also found the whole concept too distracting and annoying. Maybe I can put those videos as a screensaver. That way they would still look good, but without the distraction factor while I work. |

I have long felt that the worst thing about your site, Ryan, is the impatience I feel waiting for each of your new pieces! Can't wait to see the new one, and the animation! |

Thanks for the update, I have your feed plugged into my iGoogle home page and I am checking several times a day to see if anything new is posted. Thanks a ton for the insight into your work. Have a great afternoon! |

...for the clarification! It'll be exciting to see which one it is. Much obliged, Ryan! |

I am taking a wallpaper that is already in the gallery and making an animated version, so you will already have a still version. Sorry I didn't make that clear! |

Looking forward to it! There's a serious lack of good "dreamscenes" out there. :) |

Hey Ryan, for those of us still running Windows XP, or any other OS with still image-only backgrounds, will you make a still-frame version of your new wallpaper? That would be really awesome, but if it's too much trouble, no worries. I know that the folks with that capability on their computers have probably been long suffering from a lack of wicked awesome animated backgrounds, so they ought to take priority on this one. :) |

Love the animations, I have no doubt it will be worth it. |
