Haven't visited with you for a bit. Sorry to hear the Quacks have been at you. Didn't know you had been to Hospital before, either. Selfish cow that I am. Try not to get stressed. Don't sell shares. It will all come back the way it was. Remember when the Japanese property boom fell over. 'twas all gloom and doom, next minute it was 'whose property boom? You are a light in many lives. It soothes the soul to see such beauty. Sorry to hang the weight on your shoulders, my dear, but your work is so important, that your physical and mental health must be your priority. Blessings, Gabi |

Good luck Ryan, and remember to take it easy. I know that "doing nothing" is frustrating but your health is important for yourself and for your family :) My best wishes Ryan! Roberto / Asterion |

I'm glad that the surgery went well and that you're in a lot less pain than last time. Hopefully you won't need any more surgery after this. I hope your recovery is quick and easy! Take it easy and follow the doctor's orders. |

Glad to hear that the surgery went well and you're in less pain than expected. I hope your recovery continues to go well. Thanks for the new wallpaper. |

Just adding to the healing vibes Glad you're home and take your time cheers |

While I can't wait for your next, don't let your fans rush your recovery. Having been through several surgeries myself, I know you can't rush these things. I do hope this is the last surgery you'll have to have, and you have all my best wishes! Hey Deborah, I too have chronic neck and arm pain. Don't even consider neck surgery without a second and perhaps a third opinion by EXPERTS in the field. If it's a disk problem, surgery could make the problem worse and limit your mobility. Too, it may not lessen the pain. I wish you well. |

Love your work , but not enough for you to jeopardize your recovery. Take it easy and hope to see you on your feet soon. I was wondering if you have thought about doing a Hadean our Archean piece. With your abilities to perfectly render your peaces I know you would do justice to the time period. The Hadean time is not a geological period as such. No rocks on the Earth are this old - except for meteorites. During Hadean time, the Solar System was forming, probably within a large cloud of gas and dust around the sun, called an accretion disc. The relative abundance of heavier elements in the Solar System suggests that this gas and dust was derived from a supernova, or supernovas - the explosion of an old, massive star. Heavier elements are generated within stars by nuclear fusion of hydrogen, and are otherwise uncommon. We can see similar processes taking place today in so-called diffuse nebulae in this and other galaxies. The sun formed within such a cloud of gas and dust, shrinking in on itself by gravitational compaction until it began to undergo nuclear fusion and give off light and heat. Surrounding particles began to coalesce by gravity into larger lumps, or planetesimals, which continued to aggregate into planets. "Left-over" material formed asteroids and comets. Because collisions between large planetesimals release a lot of heat, the Earth and other planets would have been molten at the beginning of their histories. Solidification of the molten material into rocks happened as the Earth cooled. The oldest meteorites and lunar rocks are about 4.5 billion years old, but the oldest Earth rocks currently known are 3.8 billion years old. Sometime during the first 800 million or so years of its history, the surface of the Earth changed from liquid to solid. Once solid rock formed on the Earth, its geological history began. This most likely happened prior to 3.8 billion years, but hard evidence for this is lacking. Erosion and plate tectonics has probably destroyed all of the solid rocks that were older than 3.8 billion years. The beginning of the rock record that is currently present on the Earth is the inception of a time known as the Archaean. During Hadean time, the Earth and Solar System formed by coagulation and gravitational contraction from a large cloud of gas and dust around the sun, called an accretion disc. The sun formed the nucleus, shrinking in on itself by gravitational compaction until it reached a stage where it ignited with nuclear fusion and give off light and heat. The surrounding particles within this cloud coalesced into planetisimals which then aggregated to form microplanets (rather like modern asteroids). The energy of the collisions between the larger microplanets, as well as interior radioactive and gravitational heating, generated a huge amount of heat, and the Earth and other planets would have been initially molten. The Moon formed rather late in this process, about 45 My after the inner planets began to form. The current theory is that a Mars-sized planetoid, sometimes called Theia, collided with the Earth at this time. As astronomical collisions go, this was a mere cosmic fender-bender. The bodies, both molten, merged fairly smoothly, adding about 10% to Earth's mass. The moon formed from the minimal (about 0.01 Earth masses) orbiting debris resulting from this low-speed crash. Apparently no one filed an insurance claim. :) I think it would make a great background for my work station at work. All the guys up at work already live vicariously through me...... Cheers |

I hope you won't need to go through surgery again. Were you told why you needed a second surgery? I myself ended up with right sided neck, shoulder and leg neurological burning pain that is chronic. No surgery yet, but epidurals in my cervical spine area. This burning pain has been constant on my right side from the side of my face to my right foot since 2001. Worsening symptoms appeared after procedures. A cervical needle procedure was botched in 2005 and left me with increased sensitivity and constant burning pain. I truly hope things work out for you. I have been offered neck surgery but am wary. |

Put your feet up and relax for a bit Ryan, I still have your Green & Gold as my wallpaper, reminds me of summer, even though we never really had one here in England. Look forward to seeing your new projects! T. |

take some time for some rest man. I've had a couple surgeries myself so i know that you'll get restless but healing is the most important thing. Get well dude |

Glad to hear things went well. As for the not working/lifting 10 lbs...ahh, that sounds familiar. My mom just underwent an operation 2 weeks ago yesterday and those were the same instructions she received. I think the hardest thing was not being able to carry/lift up her granddaughter (my niece). Here's hoping your recovery goes well. Sit back, relax, and let yourself be pampered and waited upon :) |

Hey buddy, Congrats on the more-successful-than-previously-done surgicalocity on your bod. We only get one on this earthly trip, so we must do what we can to live as long as possible. So... you must lie back, relax, and as CJ so accurately put it - continue getting well, and at the pace that suits you best. You're the man. Prayers to you, and Bless. Mangoman |

Glad to hear you are back home and recovering. I hope you mend well, but I would recommend taking all the time you need to heal. Too many times I've seen folks go back to work early from medical leave only to find themselves right back in bed for not waiting long enough. Take care of yourself, and take all the time you need to heal. We can wait. ;-) |

Thanks for all of your devotion and hard work Ryan, get well soon! |

("Get well soon" sounds like it's quantized, so I'll settle for "Continue getting well.") Oh, and if you didn't see the photo in the following link, it's really cool. Reminded me of the types of things I see here. (Feel free to be inspired by it someday. ;) http://www.newscientist.com/blog/lastword/2008/04/cranberry-ice.html |

Hey, hope you are recovering nicely. I have been a member of your site for years and it is about the only place I go for wallpaper. I have really enjoyed your efforts over the years. |

Great to hear the operation went well! Take your time about getting better... I don't think there would be a member here that would want to force to get back to work. Your images are always better when you're better, and you do have a life away from your computer. Get Well! |

Ryan, As many have stated ... "Take care of yourself". While we all enjoy your art, I'm sure everyone would rather have you take the time to recover fully. Your family needs you healthy. As one of your many art loving fans, I can wait indefinitely for any future renderings. Be well, God's blessings on you and your family, may you have a speedy and full recovery. Eric |

Ryan, take care of yourself now. I respect your privacy but i hope you have a great recovery. Your well being and health is more important to me than your artwork, that can take a backseat until your well. I've enjoyed all of your recent pieces of art this year take plenty of time off, rest up. I hope to hear an update on how you are doing. Take Care Ryan! -Curtis |

Good Luck on your surgery, I will be praying for you. You've given us such wonderful work recently, and so much of it, I don't think anyone will be too troubled about letting you take a little time off to recover! (I'm still using Lord of the Forest as a background, so I've got plenty of catching up to do!) Godspeed with your recovery, Tom |

Hi Ryan Wishing you all the best and hope for a quick recovery :) Kyle |

Best of luck Ryan! Be sure to ask for some good medications! Not sure what you're having surgery on, but be sure to ambulate at least every two hours and use that incentive spirometer 10x per hour if given one. Trust me, working on that active range of motion will definitely help you heal more effectively. Good luck and get well soon! |
||
| Mark |
Ryan, Thoughts are with you. I've been through a couple of surgeries in the past year (gall bladder), and while the surgery was no fun, at least the pain has now gone away. I wish you a speedy and pain-free recovery. Take care, Mark. |
