So now that Halloween is done, what's gonna be the next subject? I hope you don't mind if i make a suggestion (or more properly termed, request), maybe you could do like a suped up Chopper or maybe a Hot Rod that looks insane! Either way, maybe you could chew on that idea for a little while. Thanks |

Holy BatSpam, Batman! And returning to the original subject, my thoughts are also with the victims of and workers dealing with the fires. I am glad to see most are dealt with or contained. |

Yeah, I live right here around Carmel Valley...we had to evacuate...spent two nights in downtown San Diego at a hotel. Thankfully we are back now and besides from some smoke and ash, our house is unscathed. Unfortunately, this isn't true for many people who have no home to return to. Now, this is probably an impossible request, but if you were able to pull this off, it could be quite amazing. Create a wallpaper with the blazing fire burning towards a home or two, with firefighters winning the battle and keeping the fire at bay. Aside from highlighting the bravery of many of the firefighters/police/EMT crews, it could be a very powerful wallpaper. Just a thought. |

We are following this over in the UK too, so for anyone involved or affected we are thinking of you. T. |

I've been working in SoCal for the last two weeks, and it's been quite a month. First, the summit accident when 15 semi trucks exploded inside a tunnel, and now this. The strange thing is, even with fires raging everywhere (I've been closest to the ones in Orange County and Ontario), it's amazing how most of LA is still going about their business... even with 900,000 people displaced. Thoughts and prayers to everyone down here, and especially you folks down in the San Diego area. You're getting the worst of it. |

I've resided in San Diego for a few months here and there on the couches and floors of my closest friends. I finally moved on to a real job and a real family in nor. cal, but all of my friends are still down there, with their families and pets. It's truly frightening. We've all been in constant communication over the last few days, and some of them have been evacuated to Qualcom stadium. Luckily, no one's homes have been destroyed yet. it's devestating, and truly frightening. I have everyone down there in my thoughts and prayers. |

Hi Ryan, I arrived in California shortly after you left for Illinois. The fire came within about 200 yards of my home in Irvine on Sunday night but luckily the Santa Ana winds ultimately blew it away from us. My heart goes out to everyone affected by this. There are several people who work in my office that live in the south Orange County area who's houses are threatened and we have one lady who lost her house this morning. Truly horrendous. Mark. |

The figures as of last night at 8:30pm were something very close to 700 homes destroyed. My in-laws live there (at least my wife and I are safe in good old Bloomington-Normal) and had to evacuate. They and their six cats, two dogs, and three horses are all currently safe, but we have no idea about their house. |

Thanks Ryan. We're in Oceanside and are essentially surrounded, though not threatened yet. I've lived in San Diego all my life (38 years) and this is the scariest stuff I've seen. Hundreds of homes and structures all over the county are gone. We'll see what happens as the sun comes up and they make a stand against the one closest to us (Rice fire). |
