I like it :o) The big red moon really adds a new level of scary. |

To all you people who feel you are a better artist than anybody else, listen up. All too often I see the comment gallery for one of Ryan's images littered with people who clearly think they can improve upon the showcased art. As observers its our privilege to witness artistic expression in whatever form it may take. You think people told Monet he should have had an extra haystack or Mondrian a couple more squares? If you think you can do better, perhaps you should keep your self-important comments to yourself and start your own digital artwork website. The more the merrier I say! That said, constructive comments for Ryan's betterment are possible: like the case of All Hallows Eve version 1 being a bit dark for monitors with a bright environment. There's lots in the literature on human vision regarding colour perception based on ambient environment and this is an excellent example. As for the lighting from the wrong direction comments I don't mind the lighting. In movies where you're supposed to be viewing a dark environment there's always this disembodied light that illuminates things for the purpose of the viewer. It doesn't affect our suspension of disbelief even though the light shouldn't really be there. |

I must say i love the first one more, (feels more my taste) tho this should please the people whom couldn't see the first one well, and I also noticed the lighting coming from the front right (tho i just imagine that is light from the barn or something) :D Overall another beautiful work, my preference is just for the first more then this one. But great work and i salute you for replying to the community's responses so quickly and changing your vision of the artwork so drastically, most artists never would go out of there way in such a manner. |

I think you should stop caving so much to the comments. You have a great eye and should trust your own instinct. I almost dislike that you've added the comment section since everyone makes these little "suggestions". |

The lighting is from the right yet the moon is behind Jack. The moon should be about the size of jack's head and also to the right and in the upper right corner of the picture. I also liked Jack's original expression best. Still, I appreciate the work you put into this! |

Is there another Halloween picture coming as well? |

The contrast is much better and easier to see on all monitors now. That's appreciated. The face looked evil enough in a more delicate manner before. As a few people have mentioned, the moon is a bit much. Of course, this is your work and you certainly can't please everyone ;) That's art for ya. Keep up the hard work |

I much prefer the original...I was one of those who quite liked the original face on the jack-o-lantern. The moon is overkill IMHO. |

I think the face is also better in previous version. The moon is great detail in this version |

The first one was not bad. This one has too many distractions. How about putting jack more in focus, give jack his grin back with larger teeth, get rid of the crows or at least dont have their eyes glowing, get rid of some of the trees, cornfield?, get rid of the moon and possibly make a red dawn/sunset instead. I love your work, but this one was not one of my favourites. |

i really prefer the first one. the moon distracts from the evil coming from the scarecrow and birds. a halloween picture should be dark, imo. also, the sinister laugh from the first is much more fitting than the new sad frown |

Nicely done. Once again, you've inspired me to go try something, myself. Already looking forward to your next work! |

Well, the background is a nice change, I like the moon. But the old face was better, Jack looked like he had just heard a good joke. Now he looks like he just had some bad sushi. |

WOW! This is so different from the original! It is perfect! I am using the Windows Blinds halloween skin and this fits right in! Thanks for the excellent wallpaper! |

It is just for me, but I feel that it is different from the first one, rather than improvement from the first one. Still my rating is same. 9/10 |

Much much better. Both the facial and the additional light. Especially I liked the Blood-moon... |

I have to say that I wasn't really sure what to think about the first one. When I first saw it I thought that it was a little too dark and I really didn't care for the 'happiness' of the face. The facial improvement and the change in contrast are excellent but what I love the most is the added full moon rising. Very cool! Hope to see a dual widescreen version of this one! |
