I have VLC and the addon for QT. I've downloaded 2 of your mpg files several times, they will not play with any thing I have and I have alot !! Can you make them MP4. I have other mpg's that work fine. |

I have Windows Ultimate on 32 and 64 bit machines, and I can't download the Campfire animations on either machines. I did download Fluoresent and Perspective on the 64 bit machine, but now I'm stuck b/c "Webpage cannot be found". |

Not sure if I'm allowed to post this... But there's a link for you Vista Home users to allow you to use Vista's DreamScene (Available only to Ultimate) http://www.winmatrix.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=13105 I love this background, though... it's AMAZING. |

Ok got it to loop 3 of the movies. How Do I get this player to automatically run on startup and run in the background??? |

Downloaded this dreamscene yesterday and I love it. It's probably the coolest desktop background I've ever had. I took a look at your other dreamscenes and they are great as well, but I just can't bring myself to use those instead of this one. Keep up the good work. |

This scene is spectacular! I run it on a 24" HP Widescreen LCD w/ an NVIDIA GeForce 8800 512MB graphics card...it looks amazing! No glitches, no pixelization, no freezing up! Definitely worth the upgrade to Vista Ultimate! |

Hi Jeff. Thanks for signing up. I really appreciate your support. In VLC you need to click the Playlist button (just to the right of the volume control) and then click "Repeat All". This will loop the playback on your desktop. Hope this helps! |

I came across DigitalBlasphemy today, and after looking at the free gallery, I immediately wanted to see what else Ryan has created. I am beyond impressed. I downloaded the Campfires animation just now and am deeply in love with it. VLC Media Player makes it playable as the wallpaper on WindowsXP, but it stops and returns to my current default wallpaper (you guessed it - one of Ryan's :P). Is there a way to make it continuous? I've gone through Settings > Preferences > Playlist > Repeat Current Item, but it doesn't seem to have the desired effect. Anyone know? Thanks! Jeff |

Got Windows Vista? Got Object Desktop? Then animate your wallpaper. Animated wallpaper isn't just for Windows Vista Ultimate users anymore. With the release of beta 1 of DeskScapes 2.0 on Object Desktop, all users of Vista can use the hundreds of available .DREAM files on WinCustomize as their animated backgrounds. Here is a link for a demo youtube.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R1PtM43JD14 |

I know it's probably a lot of work to produce, particularly at high res but I would LOVE a slower rotation version. Please, please, please with sugar on top. |

Love it, this is one of my favorite pics and I love the fact you have animated it. |

I love these animated backgrounds. Hopefully you have the time to add more. I just became a member to get access to more of your backgrounds, but now I will only choose between three. :( For everyone out there that doesn't have vista yet, or if you don't have it on all your machines, there are many options to have the same effect as dreamscene. I personally am using VLC media player and it works great. Only problem is I have to manually start it whenever I log in. Not sure if that is my own fault, or inherent. You might mention that VLC is multiplatform, and works great for non windows vista folks. Thanks for the awesome backgrounds. Incoming life membership soon. |

I love the animation. It was, and still is, one of my favorite wallpapers. One Technical point though. Unless the image is taking place on one of the equinox (spring or fall), the terminator (the line between day and night) should not intersect the planet's rotation poles. Your image/video is gorgeous, and clearly a lot of thought and effort went into it. I simply wanted to point out a possible glitch in the setup. Thanks again Bruceam |

Just thought you'd like to tell your fans that Windows Media Player 11 plays the animations perfectly on a WinXP-sp2 or Vista PC with the Divx 6.6 package installed (www,divx.com) This divx codec is free vs. the $19.+ cost to use QT or a different standalone player. I love the animations and hope to see 2 changes, your spare time allowing it... 2Mbps WMV-HD 32 bit animations (for the Power PC users.) and longer animations. With broadband reaching 15+ Mbps transfer rates, I commonly download feature films at near or over 1Gb. in file size. The site I use says their most common file request is their WMV-HD so, I'm guessing there are lots more who'd enjoy your quality display of talent in this hi-def format. |

I'll second the rotating too fast comment . . . I'm sure there are probably myriads of technical roadblocks in making it rotate slower but still show the whole globe, but as is, it's more like a screen-saver. That being said . . . I originally thought the DreamScene feature on Vista was stupid, but now I find myself finally rearranging some horrifically strewn-about icons so I can watch it in action. Kudos to you! |
||
Ryan |
The animation depicts the Earth making one full rotation in 24 seconds. |
||
Will |
it looks great! but in my opinion, its spinning too fast, it would be neat since its a 24" second peice to have it do 1 full rotation in 24" seconds and it would be like a full day, 24 hours. plus its moving so quickly you dont have enough time to look at the ammount of detail. |
||

The link should work now. Thanks for the heads up! |
