"Fluorescence Animation" | |||

I LOVE this. Runs perfect on Windows 7 64-bit after running the DreamScene Activator. BUT, any chance you could start making these animated scenes in different resolutions? I would LOVE a 2560x1600 one!!! Pretty please, as a favor for a lifetime member???!!! ;) |

Dude, love the animated Mushys!!! Had this one as a desktop from the beginning. One question might be a hell of a task but whats the chances of a 5040x1050 version? my pc is more than capable of doing it, if this is possible or not just shoot me an email. Cheers buddy keep up the fantastic work. No.1 Fan :D |

Did not animate. Others did. |

Well, the title says it all. 1920x1200 versions would be really cool for those like me who have 16:10 monitors. I believe my GPU accelerates up to 2048x2048, not sure though since I have no material to test it with. Keep up the good work! I came back after years and got a lifetime membership in anticipation of more animated HD goodness! |

This works beautifully (I'm using VLC on XP), looking forward to more soon, been a fan forever :-) xx |

This is great. Fluorescence (the free version) and the one you had of a big blue flower were the only wallpapers I used for years - both very mellow and perfect for when you just can't code any more and need to rest. Fluorescence animated just rocks. Would be cool to see the flower animated too - maybe blowing in some mystical breeze or something...dunno. |

In Firefox select "Save Link As". |
||
| Tom |
I have downloaded/installed VLC, and it is the default viewer for mpeg files. My problem is that I can not save your animated images. I click on an animated image, and Quicktime appears. I right-click on 1080p and Save As......... does not appear on the pop-down menu. It makes no difference if I use Firefox or IE8. I am a long time fan of yours. I became a fan of yours when you still worked for ACT. |
||
Ryan |
Try downloading VLC at http://www.videolan.org/. Installing that should allow you to view mpeg files. |
||
| Tom |
Using IE8, I still do not get the Save As.... option when I right-click on the appropriate link for the Animation wallpaper movies. If I double-click on the animation image or the 1080p link, Quicktime opens up. :-(( I've downloaded/installed the VPL player. I recently had my hard drive die on me. I had to start over again after installing a new hard drive with a fresh copy of Windows Home Edition SP3 installed. I do not like SP3. It changed a lot of things re Windows. Using another member's instructions re Firefox, MPG files are not listed under Applications. :-(( Ryan, anybody, please help me. |
||
| Tom |
I followed the previous person's instructions. Under Applications there is no MPG files listed. What now? |

Spectacular Animated wallpaper! just awesome! Fits extremely well even on my 30" big desktop! i have all 4 animated wallpapers this one included! hope Ryan has time to create more in near future! |

If you are getting the Quicktime screen instead of a download progress bar, your browser is set to automatically open *.MPG files in quicktime. You have to go into the options section of the browser and change it from Quicktime to SAVE-FILE. For firefox this is found under the Tools->Options->Applications tab. |

Please help, I love the website and I have my heart set on the animated fluorescene wallpaper but when I try to download it I get taken to a no connection error page. |
||

You need to download the file to your computer and run it from there. If you try to access it from my server it will ask for a password every time. Drop me a line if you need any further assistance! |

I can't figure out how to get the animations on my desktop. I have Vista and I've downloaded the V-whatever. All I can do is get a variety of players to play it. I'd really appreciate some help if anyone can do so :) |

Hello, Just wanted to write and say that I can't seem to get these animated screensavers to download. When I click on the link, it just sends me to an error page. Thanks |

The movement of the colors could be a little more smoother and fluid like, maybe it's just my system tho... Anyway this one is my favorite, keep up the good work. |

Fluorescence is what attracted me years back.. I have been an avid visitor of this site since I was in early high school (I'm 22 now). Sorry to say I've lived off the free gallery for YEARS AND YEARS. As of last night I purchased the 90 day subscription and can honestly say that as soon as it's up, i'm going to buy the lifetime upgrade. I've been mooching off Ry for years.. He is one of the most talented, creatively astonishing minds I have seen throughout my lifetime and I sincerely look forward to seeing his newer pieces of art as they are revealed. THANK YOU FOR SHARING YOUR TALENT WITH THE WORLD!! I am truly gratefull to have been priviledged enough to view all of this magnificent work. CHEERS!! Blake B. I've been a member of DB for many years, and Fluorescence was what originally drew me to join. So I was extremely pleased to see an animated version of it for DreamScene in my OS (Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit edition). What I particularly like about this animation is that it is elegant while being understated and gentle. I have several looped animations that just try too hard - too much going on, too fast, etc. Those animations keep my attention for all of 24 seconds or so; 'Animated Fluorescence' is not like that at all. If I could suggest that this animation be slowed down even further, that would be perfect. AVB |

Widescreen 16:9 or even better 16:10 is the optimum resolution for computer displays whether they are displaying information/data, photos, movies, games, and pretty much everything. This is because the standard widescreen aspect ratio (16:9 for movies and TV; 16:10 for computer displays) not only more accurately reflects the human field of vision (you can see much more to either side than you can up and down), but it is also very close to the Golden Ratio, which is approximately 1.62:1 (click here for more information on the Golden Ratio). Thus, widescreen displays appear more "pleasing" to the mind, and are for this reason preferred by most people who have the option of using them. |

Dude I love your work. Keep it up. Me wants more animated wallpapers in 1080p :D |

Just the perfect mix of changing scenery without being too fast, nor too busy. thanks! |

I read the comments about quick time and the question marks, but their are no anwsers or do I need to look elsewhere because apparently I just don't get it :) Thanks |

Running this at 1900x1200 and it looks great. It seems to be easy on the cpu witch is also good. I would like to see more colors down the road, other then that amazing! |
||

I have this working fine in Dreamscene, and it looks great. For those with problems with Quicktime: I found that if you keep Windows Media Player as the default program for .mpeg files, you should have no problem playing it. Quicktime does not have native support for MPEG2 video. |

Hiya, I'd love to be able to see and use your animated wallpapers but I cant for the life of me get them to work on my iMac. I download them and when I double click on them I get a message telling me that the file is not a movie file. Is there a way to get them to work on my iMac? Its so frustrating because they look fantastic! Anna |
||

Using this as my Dreamscene background. CPU seems to be happy with it. Hoping for more soon! I also found that on my 1440x1050 screens, its best to use centre (rather than Stretch that looks awful). |

Hmmm, even with my 3,000 dolar computer, I just can't seem to download these for some reason. I can't figure out why. Grrrrrr. |

I have the same problem as Trumre in that I get a question mark from quicktime. I'm not sure what the problem is but I thought that I would post the question before I delve into my into researching on the problem. Thanks. |
||

I was real excited to start utilizing this. So I downloaded all my ultimate updates, purchased the mpeg2 from Quicktime and when I try to download dreamscene I get a Quicktime loading screen that pops up a "?" and nothing plays o.0 any ideas ... |

Happy to see these. |

| Shawn |
Ok these are just cool! Too bad that DreamScene takes about 20% CPU utilization to view any of the mpg's. |
||
| Ed |
these are way cool! im sooo glad annimations were put in. im also sure that in the near future your annimations page will be full of wonderful creations! keep up the good work Ryan! |
||
| Steven |
Hi thanks for your idea. Well i didnt find a option to tell Dreamscene that it should center or keep the aspect ratio of the video. Unfortunately i cant search it for the next days because i am not at home and my laptop doesnt run with vista (its for business, thats why ;) i dont think vista has benefits over xp for business) Are you sure that you can keep the aspect ratio with Dreamscene? |
||
| Mike R. |
aye, I am a 1600x1200 user, because I feel the 4:3 aspect ratio is king is best for gaming (new and old games). would be great to have the videos available in my aspect ratio, although I think I can figure out how to crop the videos myself :/ |
||
| Brian |
Steven - instead of telling windows to stretch the image, tell it to "maintain aspect ratio" or try "crop to fit screen"..they're the two options at the bottom right of your screen in the backgrounds selection window. Hell, even "center" may work well. Beyond that, I think what you're looking for is a 5:4 image instead of the 16:9 provided. Limiting the res to 1280x1024 would be criminal..maybe a 1600x1200 for you non-widescreen users :) |
||
| Steven |
Hey... this one is just grrrrreat ;) Its so damn cool. But there is one Problem: The size. Many people, like me, use a 1280x1024 flatscreen. This movie is streched when applied to the desktop. It still looks cool, but not as cool as it could be ;) Do you plan to supply 1280x1024 movies too? That would be great! |
||
| Starkiller |
I have to go with Brian, the Original is one of my all-time-favorites, and this one is just super! Thank you once more! |
||
| Brian |
I just wanted to say the original of this background was one of my favorites years ago, and now I'm falling in love with it all over again! Great work reviving a classic, and I'm so happy you're puting some of your talent towards animated wallpapers. |
||
| Aesir |
Can you set it so the animations are still when the page loads, and only play when clicked. Makes the page load a little slow, especially if you put more up. (Might also help your bandwidth usage too.) Otherwise, looks good! |
