Just thought I would post a note (for the first time ever I might add, after being a lifetime member for 3 + years) sending my heartfelt wishes for a complete recovery for you.. I've a dear friend with Crohn's and she has as of last year returned to a near normal life style. She spent many years searching for treatments from one end of the spectrum to the other.. Her most effective treatments came from Johns Hopkins- although I do not know the specifics of what it was, I do know that the treaments were an IV infusion of sorts.. might not be a bad idea to look over their research if you have not done so.. more to the point I wanted to offer you a glimpse of the light at the end of the tunnel.. I also know a great deal of her sypmtoms were related directly to her diet.. finding her "triggers" in her diet helped her gain control.. I must say that EVERYONE who see the wallpapers that you produce are all stunned by the beauty of your work.. your particular muse must work overtime giving you inspiration.. I have been a follower of your work since the late 90's and spread the word of your site every chance I get.. I work for a large corp. and whenever the IT folk remote in to my computer they all want to know the source of the images - which I ALWAYS supply. Cheers to a speedy recovery and many years of beautiful pictures.. |

I had surgery on my ankle several years ago that they had to go back in and open up and leave open. It helps a lot, and even though it seems like it takes a long time to get over, in the overall scheme of things, it isn't that bad... Just hang in there and keep your chin up. I have enjoyed the opportunity to go back through your archives and re-use some of your past work. Kind of like seeing old friends again :) |

Ryan, I am so sorry to read about the trials you are enduring. Naturally, your first priority RIGHT NOW is to recover your health. Then, turn to your normal first priority; your beautiful, loving wife and children. Only then, when you feel creative work will be a real help, should you look to your work. I know you have a need to create, but you have to rest so as to be able to carry out all your family functions as well as to heal correctly - no over-doing! As much as we all look forward to your new work, there is so much stuff we haven't ever had a chance to really look at because there's just so much (and I'm a fairly long-time member, the newer folks have likely never even SEEN lots of your work. God bless you and your family, Louise |

Thanks for adding the 480x360 resolutions... I was just resizing my 1600x1200 images (same size dimensions). |
||

Can't say that I would have imagined needing smaller versions, after increasing resolutions for so many years. I'm wondering now if (single) monitor resolutions have maxed at 2560 x 1600 or if I will have to go higher someday. |
||
| Ben |
Did you ever think you'd have to start scaling down in resolutions once you started going up? Irony at its best. ;) |

ooh, not fun! Expressing support, here. Just a note--I have a lifetime subscription, and I wanted to let you know that this time without a lot of new papers has me browsing through the galleries a lot. There is SO MUCH good stuff back there! Some I never saw before, somehow. So while I'm rooting for you happily back at work as soon as possible, please know in the meantime I'm still COMPLETELY satisfied with my subscription and still recommending you to everyone who comments on my lovely wallpapers. |

If it makes you feel any better (since, of course, misery loves company ;), I had something similar happen with a hernia-repair-gone-wrong a few years back. They had to do the re-open (and unfortunately, stay-open) thing, too. No fun, to be sure. We look forward to your return, but take your time -- we'll be here. -Chris Psalm 139 |

Thanks for adding the G1 wallpapers! I have a feeling that'll kill my productivity at work for a while tomorrow.. ;) -Bill |

I am probably going to only include the most ubiquitous mobile resolutions. I can't possibly do them all. |

I don't suppose there's a possibility of getting a pack at 240x400 for the Samsung Behold? |

Ryan -- & I hope this isn't TMI for anyone else -- my mom had a major hernia operation that opened up once she came home. I had to do the cleaning/ packing thing for her for THREE months. A couple of tidbits we learned: 1) pack with Silvadene, her doctor was an army MASH surgeon and that's what they used in the field, worked wonders. 2) Wash wound with saline then use a tampax to soak up all the fluids, cuts the cleaning time in half |

Wishing you all the best, have been keeping up to date with all your progress and have to say it is going well, slight setbacks make you stronger! Take care and rest well Regards, Chris |

Great timing for me, I *just* got a Curve :-D! I've been a DB enthusiast for my desktop multi monitor setup for several years now, so it's fun to be able to carry that around in my handheld as well. |

Great to see you're adding more features... always love them. As far as the infection goes... no fun... But I'm pulling for you! |

Hey Ryan, Can't think of anything inspirational to say, but...I'm praying for you buddy. Hope you get better really soon. |

It just so happens I already have my entire gallery available at 640 x 480. They are the "hi-res" versions that load when you click the thumbnails on the "Gallery At A Glance" page. I'll add a zip and a "Mobile Resolution" option tomorrow but you can find the images in here. |
||
| Benjamin |
You, sir, are the man! I figured I'd check back tonight, and I saw you've already uploaded a zip at 480x360! Thank you so much for paying attention to even the smallest, simplest requests, and for being so speedy about it! |
||
| Micro78 |
I would love some T-Mobile G1 wallpapers too! Thanks? |
||
| Łukasz |
a G1 uses 640x480. You can grab any 4:3 and just resize, or let the phone resize |
||
| Labanimal |
Ryan, as much as everybody here look forward to your work and new wallpapers, your health takes priority. This whole ordeal sounds terribly painful! Take as much time as you need to get well, and when possible, post updates! As much as its a "TMI" issue, your recovery is more important than your wallpapers! |
||
| Bill |
Any chance we could get some Android / T-Mobile G1-sized wallpapers too? I believe they are 640x480. I suppose I could just resize some of the others, but.. having a zipped pack of 640x480 images would be nice. Hope you are feeling better! -Bill |
||
| Benjamin |
Not to carry on a conversation here, but I found the directory. Now how do I download them all together? I'd like the entire collection, but I don't really want to download each individually. Will a zip file be available? |
||
Ryan |
Actually, I've been uploading 480 x 360 images for some time now (I uploaded them all back when I added the 480 x 320 pics) but I haven't added a link for them. I created them initially for the Storm, before I learned that the Storm only displayed wallpaper in "portrait" mode. I was keeping them in reserve because I didn't know any devices used that resolution. I'll try to have those links added by this evening or tomorrow morning. If you are intrepid however you can probably find the directory they are stored in ;-) |
||
| Benjamin |
First, sorry to hear that you're having to deal with a slow recovery and all that. Must be a royal pain in the neck. Please allow me to be a royal pain as well. The new Blackberry Curve 8900 just launched, and it's got the Storm's resolution, but landscape orientation, so it's 480x360. That's technically 4:3 aspect ratio, right? So a 1152x864 image, scaled down, would fit? I don't know if you have a batch resize program, or if such a thing is available I could do it myself, but such a resolution would be wonderful, to avoid stressing a phone with processing a large image. |
||
| Jamison |
Thanks for the Storm aspects ratios! Here's hoping you get better soon. Best wishes! |
