Description

I haven’t committed to making a full dynamic series of “Pageantry” yet but I did want to at least create a night version. The challenge here was to preserve a bit of the color from the original in the foreground while still having something interesting to look at out in the darkness. Let me know if you think I’ve succeeded or not. I decided to add a bit of light being the viewer (and cabin or campfire maybe) to brighten things up a bit.

Please don’t crop out the Moon when making high-aspect ratio versions of this piece. The Moon is the centerpiece of it all.

This night version is just as beautiful as the day version, Great Render my Friend

I love the idea of campfire lighting in the night version (and I’d love to be the one sitting at that campfire!) I did think that campfire light might tint the yellows and oranges a little more in the yellow direction than they are in the daytime version (and be more concentrated at the bottom of the trees, maybe?). Both of these photos are making me want to go camping!

  4. CS [lifer]

this is a very nice render !

can you make it available for iphone X resolution ?

suggestion: having a feature on your site that will let users filter/search by aspect ratio, resolution, etc.

    thank you

  5. John [lifer]

Nice!! I saw this and thought that if this is campfire light, it would be a cool animated Zoom video

  6. Tracy [plusmember]

I think I have a new favorite! Which is saying a lot because I love so many of these. I agree about the picklejar version and the fires – it’s hauntingly close to the real nights we’ve been seeing in Colorado.

Love the regular night sky and the alternate version.

BLUE — peaceful and serene. Works for any time of year; it even hints at the coming winter.

ORANGE — ominous and foreboding. Excellent for autumn; especially for Halloween.

  8. PI [lifer]

    Please!

I really like the occasional black and white (BW Halloween angel, etc) and these mono-chrome like renders, especially this. (Not sure what to call it)

  9. Shao Lang [lifer]

Absolutely love this one. The colour of the sky, right down to the shadows and lighting on the front, just screams foreboding forest.

At this time of year, this is the perfect time for a wallpaper / art project such as this. 10/10 from me. I just absolutely love this

I love the bluish type night skies! Always a nice new background until the next one 🙂

Thanks for yet another great image.

This reminds me of California at dusk recently, when the smoke was at its thickest.

  12. BobC [lifer]

A place I want to be! Looks to me like our campfire and tent are behind us. Nicely done.

  13. Hadrianel [lifer]

really like this one 🙂 thx – and the pickle jar variation is beautiful

  14. Lisa [lifer]

I love this night version! I’m partial to the dark or night view renders anyway, but this one…GORGEOUS! I would love to have a cabin in those woods w/ that view.

  15. Littlemom [liferplus]

Wow!!! this is even prettier than the day version, and I really thought that one was excellent but you have topped it with the night version. Great job Ryan!!!

  16. Ryan

That is certainly a possibility 🙂

  17. Mark A. [liferplus]

    I don’t suppose you’ve considered a Pagaentry winter version?

  18. Ryan

Just making sure everyone can write comments on the first image I’ve posted on my new server.

  19. eyalh [lifer]

it is very nice, but I less like the way the Multi-Screen version is cropped. You can barely see the moon in it…

Can you please try and bring the full moon into the scene?

  20. Tyler [lifer]

Absolutely haunting contrast of light here Ryan. The blue is mesmerizing indeed. Top notch render my friend, top notch.
