It is possible for you to make 1440x900 pictures in the pickle jar? I enjoy a great deal of color and would love to have these wallpapers in that size. Also, enough mobile wallpaper to cover the iPhone 5. Thanks in advance,

...my main character in a Roman-themed AD&D campaign I ran for several years. This fellow looks like a Roman on the frontier; the tunic and cloak especially make for that effect, and if he's wearing boots, that's just the sort of local flavor a frontier Roman might adopt. That era wasn't constant warfare; sometimes a Legionary must've just stood somewhere like this in awe and thought "I can't believe we actually made it all the way out here..." Thank you for capturing the feeling of my RP sessions!

This is very evocative. I've seen many rock gardens in Japan. No photo or digital art can do them justice (most of them). However, I second Robert's request to pass this through the 'beast' -- some 10 yrs after it was created. Perhaps then, the digital rock garden would do justice to the real thing.

Rite of Spring
This was a hybrid Lightwave/World Builder image. The thunderhead and lightning were rendered using Lightwave hypervoxels and then the resultant image was loaded as a background plate in World Builder. Looking at this piece 8 years later I think the clouds look more like volcanic ash than a thunderstorm.

The image looks too digital. It doesn't look realistic enough. My favourite wallpapers from your entire collection have been ones that take an unrealistic scene and make it look real. I like fantasy and dreams and I would love it even better if the fantasy and dreams actually came to life.

The trees here look too digital rendered. The snow looks fake really. It doesn't have that fluid, natural feel to it even though the overall image gives off the feeling of having a stroll down a path in the woods during winter.

Amazed
I used some "maze generator" shareware to create a greyscape heightmap which I then used to create a Vue landscape. Finally I exported the landscape to Lightwave for this render. Check out my updated 2014 version here!

"Amazing - Suggestion"
If you were to follow the maze in the direction the person is headed, it appears it will be a dead end. I'd suggest that you have no dead-ends to see for the person, to appear like it will be going on for a while. An added twist would be to have a surprise(s) at a dead-end(s) where it could be dangerous - like a tiger in waiting, or an evil dude awaiting, or on a positive side, a beautiful surprise like a fair lady, or awesome sword, etc.

Blue Christmas -- Christmas 2002
One of my most popular Christmas wallpapers. The first "Blue Christmas" was rendered using World Builder and the lights were added in Photoshop. For this version I rendered the scene using Lightwave. The tree lights are the same tech that I used for Pyre.

Ryan doesn't color B&W images in Photoshop or whatever. You can't "retouch color" on a rendered image - you have to recolor the items in question and then render the image again (taking just as much time as the first render did). There are a ton of people who are REQUESTING a colored render of this, so calling Ryan lazy is showing your ignorance of the process.
