Its almost as if it's a huge being who is about to open two ugly eyes and an equally ugly mouth to devour us...or earth...or something. It's very malevolent looking. Still, what you've done with the program and the colors is another example of your amazing imagination and talent. RB+Hypervoxels - who'da thunk it?

Ostereier -- Easter 2003
I thought it would be fun to make some Easter eggs using Lightwave. I used different procedural textures for each egg. It was more challenging than I thought it would be.

Check out my Easter store on Zazzle!

I posted an updated Easter Egg render in 2011.

Great picture. If you do a Easter picture for this year you should do one with snow. Seen as how we have had such a snowy winter and it seems that we'll have snow on Easter :D

You've been playing with the "Gazebo" idea almost since the beginning, and of all versions I like this one the most. The structure's a little odd-looking, yes. But the overall scene best captures the sense of infinitude, tranquillity and possibility I've gotten from all three pieces. This one's *open*, spacious, in a way the 2013 render is not. (I find the gazebo there to be too confining, as it frames the whole scene; everything's seen from between the pillars.)

"Pleasantly Rounded"
I love this one, particularly for the roundedness of almost every feature--rounded rocks, domelike tree canopies (those are particularly handsome trees!), the hills themselves, all pleasantly echoed in the arch of the little bridge. Who put that pagoda there, indeed, and how? Looks well-maintained; probably still in use... See? I love your work precisely because it hints at stories and backstories. In roleplaying, something like this would be called an 'adventure seed'. I always feel like I'm the first person to see it besides the ones who made it (if it's a building) or who are present in it (if the scene has figures).

9+, and a welcome relief from the world's angularity!

Thank you!! Unfortunately I no longer have access to the software I used to render this piece. The company went out of business and I don't have a place on my workstation to attach the required hardware lock.

Perhaps I will create a new version in 2013 though!

Majesty is one of my personal favorites to this day. It's just an absolutely gorgeous piece, with rich bold colors that combines the elements of Planets/sky, Landscape, and water as all your best pieces do. It was beautiful pieces like this that drew me to digital blasphemy in the first place. And this piece was rendered a few years ago. Now with the current softwares you have at your disposal, I'd be exceptionally curious to see how you could reinvent this one in even more beautiful and creative ways.

Just a personal request, please look into revisiting Majesty and recaptivating those wonderful colors and elements in the way only you can. :)

From what I understand, the black hole at the center of the galaxy is ringed by super-massive blue supergiants, with other red giants further out. This reminds me of that, but without the million-sun monster in the middle.

While I agree that the pickle jar version is excellent, I must say that the main page version is better. Blue doesn't fit the scene for me. If I'm in a mood for blue, I go for singularity or coalescence.

I love this image, detailed, futuristic, and beautiful to look at. Almost Death Star like. I still use this image on one of my machines at home. The blend of colors keep this picture interesting because one color doesn't completely overwhelm. Love the hints of red.

I would love to see a remake of this castle with a little more brick texture and details of a the castle. Add a couple of horses, cows, or maybe a dragon.

Since going to double screen it's a little harder to look at these older images, but this could be a great image to start with and see what you could do with your newer tools.

Keep up the great work.

So, meanwhile the 3 screens on my desk have the summer version of Canopy Creek (with the calming green), streteched over all of them. But now I just added a small 1024x768 screen on the top, "hoovering" above my desk. And since I need to look up to it, it should have sky on it, right? So welcome back Arboreal. I missed you :)

It feels like getting home, going to yout favourite window and see the all the loved view again.

I like the newer version too, I already have a screen for that planned, but this one I simply love.
