Green and Gold
This was my first attempt to craft more detailed Vue d'Esprit trees by building the branches themselves out of individual Vue tree models. I edited them in the Solid Growth editor to get them to bend the right way and then I places them around a central trunk.

The effect was pretty convincing, except in this case I didn't set up the "branches" so they all intersected the trunk. This precluded a winter version of this scene because the disconnects would be visible. Perhaps I will come back to it and try to work something out. I have an autumn version here and would love to try a winter scene someday.

"Winter Gallery"
This should go into the Winter Gallery as a separate entry. It would perfect for it.

"Nice, but a little dark"
Not sure if if it's my viewing environment or what but the lower right corner is a little dark to see any detail at all. Yeah, I see the animal, and yes, it looks equine, but there's no way I'm seeing a horn in that.

Still, I like these kinds of images: looking out, looking in, secret places. Good job over all.

Has the 3840 x 1080 multiscreen resolution been forgotten or is this abandoned?

As a botanist, I am sensitive to the portrayal of plants. This is my favorite (even 3 years later) for the use of different trees' shapes and branching. Like Andrew, I love watching how the trees [in your art] improve over time.

"Night version?"
A night version of this would be totally hot. What do you think, Ryan? If you're not busy or anything. ;)

Red and Gold
This image is a follow-up to Green and Gold. The tree is the same and because each branch is an individual Vue tree object I can color the leaves on one branch differently that the others. I had always been dissatisfied with the control Vue gives over the leaf coloration on a tree-by-tree basis and this is the best workaround that I've found thus far.

Out of all the wallpapers on this site, this is probably my favorite. I like all the versions of this one, but the fall version is the best. Something about the vivid autumn leaves against the grey sky. Just awesome. Ryan, you should do a Night version, with the tree silhouetted against the moon and night sky.
