I will cover proper texture development in a future tutorial, for now I'll just say that it requires a little skill and a good eye for color.
Here's the final render (shrunk down of course). It took my computer 2 1/2 hours to render this at 1152 x 864 (Bryce is kinda slow).
Now I will open up Photoshop and make my lightning bolts. -->
