I've had this on my PCs for as long as I can remember. I wanted to download it for a retina iPad, but was really disappointed to not see it available.



Ryan, I guess you would need to re-render this, in which case I would agree with Gene - this piece would definitely benefit from some improved tech, like re-creating the leaves on the nearby trees. It might even become one of my top ten favorites, and that's saying a lot!!!

This is another great one, Ryan. I still love it as it is, but maybe it's time to revisit! I realize that not every early piece needs to be reworked. But this one presents beautiful subject matter, totally ripe for an application of improved technology combined with 15 years more experience!

I would love to see a remake of this castle with a little more brick texture and details of a the castle. Add a couple of horses, cows, or maybe a dragon.



Since going to double screen it's a little harder to look at these older images, but this could be a great image to start with and see what you could do with your newer tools.

How come you took down my favorite version though? The one I downloaded originally had different lighting (noticable particularly on the castle turrets) and a different looking tree (maybe because of the somewhat different lighting?) in the bottom right corner. I had downloaded the 1280x1024 version and always wanted to download the larger size but when I had come back to download it, I found that version was completely removed. I preferred that version because the lighting seemed a little brighter and prettier overall.

I absolutely love this picture! It's not only fanciful and enchanting but it also draws you in and makes you imagine that you are in a mythical world of fantasy. I love the daylight version as well but the twilight makes it a more serene place to live within my imagination. A winter version of this scene could be really neat too!
